Well, the May meeting is in the bag; a great meeting by the way! Thanks to all of our regular members and a big warm welcome to a few new faces as well. We are continuing to grow and evolve in this our infancy, but the feedback all shows we are filling a void in the Devsigner community in the Tampa Bay Area - and we are happy to be doing just that.

 

 

Last Meeting:

Another great mix of discussion, member participation, and a couple of great UX presentations to boot. Chris Bennage, WPF MVP gave a wonderful talk on design patterns and provided the group with a good foundation for a few of the more well-known patterns in use today. Shawn Cady continued his 8 part series on the 7 Facets of UX Design with a presentation on Web Accessibility and treated the group to a video he found on TED.com, presented by Dan Ariely. Dan is a social scientist that was horribly burned in an accident and emerged from his 3-year long hospital stay with a unique perspective on the danger of not challenging our intuition. How does this apply to better UX design? Watch the video and reach your own conclusions!
